Earlier this month I visited former SS training school Vogelsang about 60 west of Aachen Germany.
The scale of the site is enormous and was used post 1945 by the Belgian Army as an officer training school.
It now features a small guesthouse, museum, cinema, and fantastic museum exhibitions - about the Nazi history of the site and also the natural history of the Eifel forest.
