Originally from Sydney Australia, David has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Ireland and has been living in Trier Germany since 2014.

 

David has worked as a professional guide and educator in the museum field for over 15 years.

 

He is responsible for researching, writing and presenting programmes and tours on everything from colonial Australian history to interior decoration and furnishings - from architecture to modern European history and everything in between.

 

A professional tour guide for over ten years at places such as Government House Sydney, David worked as Education Coordinator at the Parramatta Heritage Centre, Sydney Australia.

 

David acquired a Bachelor or Arts degree in 2000 focussing on modern european history, politics and philosophy.

 

He completed two post-graduate masters degrees in 2003 and 2008 in Education and Museum Studies majoring in history education, art, architectural history and monuments – particularly in Germany during the period 1900-1945.

 

He has a keen interest in architectural history and the development of cities.
